Today, they enjoy global popularity, often featured in IKEA restaurants and home kitchens alike, with variations including different spices and sauces.

Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a bowl, combine ground beef and ground pork.
Add unseasoned breadcrumbs to the meat mixture.
Crack in one whole egg.
Add minced onion, all-purpose seasoning, salt, pepper, ground allspice, nutmeg, and minced parsley.
Mix the ingredients by hand until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Scoop and roll the mixture into 16 to 18 meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
Add 2 tablespoons of flour to the melted butter to create a roux, cooking until it starts to brown.
Slowly whisk in 2 cups of beef broth to avoid lumps.
Add 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and 1/2 cup of heavy cream to the sauce.
Season the sauce with all-purpose seasoning to taste, adjusting for salt if needed.
Once the sauce has thickened, add the baked meatballs to the skillet and coat them in the sauce.
Serve the meatballs with buttered noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes, and garnish with minced parsley.
