Swedish Tea Ring

1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 tsp yeast
1/2 tsp salt
3 1/2 cup ap flour
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp gelatin
1/2 cup chocolate
1/2 cup of mixed almond and walnuts

Combine all dough ingredients and knead until elastic and smooth.

Rest for an hour.

Roll out into a long rectangle shape.

Mix all filling ingredients except the chocolate and nuts.

Spread the filling mixture over the rolled out dough.

Sprinkle the chocolate and nuts over the dough.

Roll the dough into a log and form it into a ring.

Place it on parchment paper and cut two-thirds of the way into the edge into 12 or 16 pieces.

Turn each cut onto its side.

Cover and let sit for 45 minutes.

Bake for 25 minutes in a preheated oven at 175-185 C.

Let cool then glaze with mixed confectioners sugar and a little water.
