Cut the breadfruit in half, then into quarters, and remove the inside.

Peel the breadfruit and cut it into small pieces.

Wash the breadfruit pieces and drain them.

Put a pot of water on the stove and add salt to it.

Once the water is boiling, add the breadfruit pieces and cover with a lid.

While the breadfruit is boiling, finely chop the garlic, onion, cilantro, and optional chili.

Once boiled, drain the breadfruit pieces.
