500g ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 cup butter
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Shape the mixture into small oval patties (kafta) about 2 inches long.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the kafta patties in batches, cooking until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the patties and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the heavy cream and water, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.

Return the kafta patties to the skillet, cover, and let simmer in the creamy sauce for about 10-15 minutes, until cooked through.

Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more water to reach desired consistency.

Once done, remove from heat and sprinkle with toasted pine nuts before serving.
