Cut coconut leaves into long pieces and keep them in direct sunlight for one hour or heat them with fire.

Tie the coconut leaves and keep aside.

Mix curry leaves, grated coconut, dry chili, half of the onion, and salt together and keep aside.

In a mixer, grind curry leaves, ginger, garlic, green chili, and cumin powder together.

Add half cup water to the mixture until the consistency is right.

Chop smoked fish and keep aside.

Chop the rest of the onion and mix it with the smoked fish, crushing the onion until juice comes out.
