Vegetable Fried Rice

1 cup dry rice
oil
smashed garlic cloves

Heat oil in a pan on medium-high heat.

Add 1 cup of dry rice to the pan and brown it until it gets a nice color.

Add smashed garlic cloves to the rice and stir to keep it moving.

Once the rice starts to get a golden color, add in previously cut frozen vegetables (carrots, peppers, onions).

Turn down the heat slightly and add a little dish sauce.

Sprinkle in some red pepper flakes and a little toasted sesame seed oil.

Add soy sauce to the mixture to enhance color and flavor.

Pour in chicken broth just enough to cover the rice and allow it to plump up.

Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook until the moisture cooks down and the rice gets a crispness.

Once cooked, add chopped green onions on top before serving.
