1

In a heavy bottom pot on very low heat, add 1 tbsp of pure ghee and let it melt.

2

Add 3 and 3/4 cup of fine desiccated coconut to the pot and mix well.

3

Allow the coconut to roast on very low heat until it absorbs all the ghee.

4

Add 1 and 1/2 cup of full fat milk to the coconut and continue cooking on low heat until the coconut absorbs the milk, about 2-3 minutes.

5

Add 1 and 1/4 cup of sugar to the mixture and turn the heat to medium low, stirring continuously.

6

After 3-4 minutes, the mixture will start to thicken again; reduce the heat to low.

7

Add 1 cup of milk powder to the mixture and stir until it thickens and leaves the sides of the pan, about 5-6 minutes.

8

Remove the mixture from heat and transfer it to a plate to cool completely.

9

Once cooled, add 1/2 cup of desiccated coconut to a bowl.

10

Scoop out a small portion of the mixture using a teaspoon and roll it into a ball between your palms.

11

Toss the ball into the bowl with desiccated coconut to coat it on all sides.

12

Continue making balls until all the mixture is used up.
