Prepare crab meat by removing any shells and set aside.
Finely chop onion, ginger, garlic, and green chili.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat; sauté onion until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add ginger, garlic, and green chili; cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
Add cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala; stir for 1 minute.
In a bowl, combine crab meat, sautéed mixture, bread crumbs, and chopped coriander leaves; mix well.
Form the mixture into small kofta balls.
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat; fry the kofta until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
In the same pan, add tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes until thickened.
Pour in coconut milk and bring to a simmer; season with salt.
Gently add the fried kofta to the curry; simmer for 10 minutes to absorb flavors.
Serve hot with rice or naan.
