Mango Barfi

1 cup mango pulp
25-30 cashew nuts
15-20 almonds
1/3 cup milk powder
1/3 cup desiccated coconut
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
silver leaves for garnishing

Roast the dry fruits in 1 tsp of ghee until light brown, cool and grind into a coarse powder. Keep aside.

Cook the mango pulp for a few seconds and add the sugar, cook this until it thickens (about 10 minutes).

Once it thickens, add the rest of the ingredients and cook this further until the mixture forms a dough and starts leaving the sides of the pan. Add the cardamom powder and switch off the flame.

Grease a tray with ghee and butter paper or foil.

Press this mixture neatly and garnish with chopped pistachios or silver varq.

Let it set for 30 minutes to an hour.
