Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries
  • 8 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)
  • 1 oz white chocolate (for drizzling)
  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Wash the strawberries thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel. Make sure they are completely dry to ensure the chocolate adheres properly.
  2. 2In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. 3Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted dark chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
  4. 4Place the chocolate-covered strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. 5In a separate small bowl, melt the white chocolate using the same microwave method as before. Once melted, transfer it to a piping bag or a small zip-top bag with a corner snipped off.
  6. 6Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate-covered strawberries in a decorative pattern.
  7. 7Refrigerate the strawberries for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has set completely.
  8. 8Serve the chocolate-covered strawberries chilled or at room temperature.
