Originating from the city of Mysore in Karnataka, Mysore Pak is a traditional Indian sweet made during festivals and special occasions. Its rich texture and flavor come from the generous use of ghee and sugar, making it a favorite among many. Over the years, it has gained popularity beyond Karnataka, with variations appearing across India and even internationally.

Coconut oil offers a healthier fat alternative.

Honey can reduce refined sugar content.
Peel and mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat until melted.
Add the mashed bananas to the ghee and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Stir in the gram flour and mix well to avoid lumps.
Cook the mixture for 5-7 minutes until it thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
Add sugar and continue to stir until it dissolves completely.
Sprinkle in cardamom powder and mix thoroughly.
Add chopped cashews and pistachios, stirring for another 2-3 minutes.
Transfer the mixture to a greased plate or tray.
Spread evenly and let it cool for 30 minutes.
Cut into pieces and serve at room temperature.
