Besan Barfi

2 Cup Gram Flour
½ Cup Ghee
1 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Water
Some Soaked Saffron

Sieve the gram flour (besan).

Add ghee to a pan and then add the besan.

Keep stirring the mixture.

Roast in low heat until it becomes aromatic and slightly changes color.

Prepare sugar syrup by boiling sugar and water until it reaches 1 string consistency.

Add the roasted gram flour to the sugar syrup and mix well.

Add soaked saffron and mix well again.

Cook the mixture until it separates from the pan.

Grease a 6-inch mould with oil and place baking paper inside.

Pour the mixture into the mould and keep aside for 1 hour.

Apply silver leaf on top and cut into pieces.
