Chinese Fried Wontons

ground pork

Prepare the filling by combining ground pork, shrimp, chopped green onions, minced ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and salt in a bowl.
Mix the filling until well combined and set aside.
Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and place a small spoonful of filling in the center.
Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water using your fingertip.
Fold the wrapper over the filling to create a triangle, pressing to seal.
Bring the two corners of the triangle together to form a wonton shape, sealing with water if necessary.
Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Carefully add the wontons to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding.
Fry the wontons until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally.
Remove the wontons with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot with soy sauce or sweet and sour sauce for dipping.
