Soak 400 g of peeled beans for about 4 hours, then wash and drain.

Soak 200 g of chopped dates for about 1 hour to make blending easier.

Blend the soaked beans and dates with 500 ml of water in a food blender until you have a smooth batter.

Transfer the batter to a bowl.

Add 1 tbsp of olive oil to the batter.

Add 35 g of cocoa powder and mix until smooth.

Add 100 g of chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips and mix until well distributed.

Layer two or three leaves together to create a pouch for steaming.

Add 2 cups of the mixture inside the pouch and seal it up.

Repeat the process until all the mixture is used up, making five parcels in total.

Carefully place the parcels in a steaming basket over water.

Steam on low heat for 1 hour, checking the water level periodically and adding more water if needed.

Once done, leave to cool a little before unwrapping.
