فخدة ضاني رستو بالخضار هو طبق تقليدي مصري يتم تحضيره في المناسبات الخاصة والعزائم. يُعتبر هذا الطبق رمزًا للضيافة والكرم، حيث يجمع بين لحم الضأن والخضروات الطازجة، مما يجعله وجبة شهية ومغذية. في الوقت الحاضر، يُحضر هذا الطبق في العديد من المنازل المصرية، ويُعتبر جزءًا من التراث الغذائي المصري.

Using water is a cost-effective option.
Prepare a spice mix using cloves, black pepper, bay leaves, cumin, and nutmeg, grinding them coarsely.
Select a fresh lamb leg, ensuring it has a good amount of fat and is not old.
Trim any undesirable fat from the lamb leg, ensuring to keep some for flavor.
Season the lamb leg thoroughly with the prepared spice mix, making sure to cover all areas.
Leave the lamb leg to marinate while preparing the vegetables.
In a roasting pan, add chopped onions, bell peppers, and whole potatoes.
Add whole carrots and zucchini to the pan as well.
Place the lamb leg on top of the vegetables in the roasting pan.
Add whole garlic cloves and ginger slices around the lamb.
Sprinkle thyme and rosemary over the lamb and vegetables.
Add pieces of butter on top of the lamb for added flavor.
Pour olive oil over the entire dish to prevent drying out during cooking.
Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil.
Roast in the oven for at least 2 hours, checking occasionally.
Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to allow the lamb to brown.
Check the doneness of the lamb before serving.
