Greek yogurt reduces calories while maintaining creaminess.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine 2 pounds of ground beef and 1 pound of ground pork.
Add 1 egg to the meat mixture and mix together with hands until well combined.
Add seasonings and bread crumbs to the meat mixture and mix again until blended.
Form the mixture into larger meatballs, ensuring they are not touching in the baking pan.
Bake the meatballs in the oven for 20 minutes.
While the meatballs are baking, melt butter in a skillet and add chopped onions, cooking over medium heat.
Reduce heat to low and slowly pour in beef broth while stirring.
Gradually add flour to the mixture, stirring to avoid lumps.
Add milk to the gravy mixture and stir until combined, keeping it over low heat.
After 20 minutes, add the baked meatballs to the gravy and let cook for an additional 20 minutes or until the gravy thickens to preference.
Remove meatballs from the gravy and stir in sour cream, whisking until smooth.
Serve meatballs with gravy over mashed potatoes and optionally with green beans and lingonberry.
