3-4 Tbsp Ghee / Sajuk Tup
1/2 Tsp Cardamom Powder
1 Tbsp Desiccated Coconut (Optional)
Finely Chopped Dry Fruits (Cashews, Almonds)
Raisins
2 Cups Water OR Milk

For the sugar syrup, add sugar in the water and let it boil on medium flame.

Heat 3 tbsp Ghee in a nonstick kadai on low flame.

Add sooji and stir for 4-5 minutes on low flame, keep stirring till the sooji changes color to a light golden.

Once the syrup starts to boil, turn off the flame.

Add chopped cashews, almonds, and raisins. Stir for another 1/2 minute.

Carefully add and stir the sugar syrup slowly.

Cook on medium flame till the sooji absorbs water, keep stirring.

Add cardamom powder and 1 tsp ghee, stir well and turn off the flame.

Sooji ka Halwa is ready.

Serve hot Sooji Ka Halwa on a plate, garnish with desiccated coconut and the chopped dry fruits.
