Variations abound, with some using chicken or vegetables, reflecting the adaptability of this dish across different cultures.

Boil 3 large eggs in a pot for about 20 minutes.
Chop Spanish olives, sweet onions, and red pepper.
Heat a pot on medium-high and add 2 capfuls of vegetable oil.
Sauté sweet onions and red peppers for about 7 minutes.
Add ground beef and season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Cook the meat until well done, stirring occasionally.
Add 1/2 tablespoon of tomato paste and stir until evenly distributed.
Add chopped Spanish olives and a little bit of water to the beef mixture.
Boil the eggs, then run cold water on them for about 5 minutes before peeling.
Chop the boiled eggs and add them to the beef mixture along with 1 cup of raisins.
Dust a cutting board with flour and prepare the pastry from the Goya package.
Water the sides of the pastry in a circular motion and add filling without overcrowding.
Fold over the pastry and press the edges with a fork to seal.
Place completed pastelitos on a tray and freeze uncovered.
Heat vegetable oil in a large pot on low until it reaches 350°F.
Deep fry pastelitos in batches of three for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
