Prepare the dough by mixing 500 g of flour, 250 g of butter, 200 g of sour cream, 1 egg, 1 Tsp of baking soda, 1/2 Tsp of yeast, and 1 Tsp of vanilla extract.

For the filling, combine 250 g of flour, 250 g of sugar, 100 g of butter, 150 g of walnuts, and 1 Tsp of vanilla extract.

Roll out the dough and fill it with the walnut mixture.

Brush the inside of the roll with egg whites if desired.

Roll the dough and place it on a baking sheet.

Brush the top with an egg wash made from 1 egg yolk and 2 Tsp of milk.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 minutes.
