Servings4
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup water (or as needed)
2 tbsp ghee or oil (for cooking)
Extra flour for dusting

Quantities are estimated based on standard recipes for your convenience. The actual ingredients used in this video are accurate.

1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt.

2

Gradually add water to the flour mixture, kneading until a soft dough forms.

3

Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

4

Divide the dough into equal-sized balls (about the size of a golf ball).

5

Take one ball of dough and flatten it slightly, then dust it with flour.

6

Roll it out into a circle about 6-8 inches in diameter, using a rolling pin.

7

Heat a skillet or tawa over medium heat.

8

Place the rolled-out paratha on the skillet and cook for about 1-2 minutes until small bubbles form on the surface.

9

Flip the paratha and apply a little ghee or oil on the cooked side, then cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

10

Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls, stacking the cooked parathas on a plate and covering them to keep warm.
