500 g ARV reinskav
2 tbsp butter for frying
250 g fresh mushrooms, sliced
150 g onion, thinly sliced
3 dl cream
1 dl milk
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
10 potatoes
2 tbsp butter
2 dl milk
1 dl cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
100 g bacon
200 g Brussels sprouts

Make the mashed potatoes. Peel and cut the potatoes into large chunks, boil until tender. Mash the potatoes and stir in warm milk, cream, and butter. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper.

Quickly brown the reindeer meat, onion, and mushrooms over high heat.

Add cream and milk. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 10-15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

If desired, add some sour cream, goat cheese, crushed juniper berries, and thyme to the pot and let simmer for another 5 minutes.

Quickly fry the bacon and Brussels sprouts in a bit of butter over high heat.

Serve the skavgryte with fresh herbs and lingonberries or lingonberry cream.
