Today, variations abound, with different meats and spices, making it a popular choice not just in Pakistan but among food enthusiasts worldwide.

Start by making the mint yogurt sauce.
Add about 1 and 1/2 cups of yogurt to a food processor or blender.
Add a bunch of fresh mint leaves, half of a jalapeno, and two whole garlic cloves.
Juice half of a fresh lime into the mixture.
Add black pepper and salt to taste.
Cover and blend until combined.
Add a handful of fresh cilantro to the mixture and blend again until smooth.
Put the chutney in a bowl and refrigerate to let the flavors meld.
In a large bowl, add 1 pound of ground beef.
Add 1 tablespoon of chopped cilantro and half of a small minced onion.
Add half of a jalapeno, 1/2 teaspoon of red chili flakes, 1 tablespoon of coriander powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin powder, and 1 teaspoon of red chili powder or cayenne powder.
Add 1 heaping tablespoon of ginger garlic paste and 1 lightly beaten egg.
Season with black pepper and salt to taste, adjusting as needed.
Mix everything together with your hands until well combined.
Portion the mixture into four equal parts for burger patties.
Heat a pan over medium-high heat or prepare a grill.
Shape the portions into burger patties and cook them until golden brown on each side, checking for desired doneness.
Remove the patties from the heat and let them rest for about 5 minutes.
Assemble the burger by placing the mint cilantro chutney on a lightly toasted Brioche bun.
Add the burger patty, raw onion, and fresh tomato slices.
Spread more mint chutney on the top side of the bun before closing the burger.
