Welcome to Pushpa Gupta's kitchen. Today we will make chips that can be stored for years by drying them in the sun.

Take a medium-sized potato and peel it well, removing the top part to make the chips look fresh and beautiful.

Using a chips cutter, make straight cuts and then rotate the potato to create a design while slicing.

Ensure the chips are neither too thin nor too thick.

Soak the potato slices in water for 2 hours to remove excess starch.

After soaking, rinse the potato slices 3-4 times to remove the white part and keep them fresh.

In a pot, add water and 1 tablespoon of salt along with a little baking soda. Bring the water to a boil.

Once boiling, add the potato slices and stir them gently. Check them after a short time to ensure they don't overcook.

Once cooked, remove the chips using a strainer to drain the water.

In another pot, add some turmeric (or food color) and add the chips for 2-3 minutes, stirring gently to avoid breaking them.

After boiling, remove the chips immediately to prevent them from breaking.

Let the chips dry for 2 days until completely dried out.

In a frying pan, heat oil and check if it's hot enough before adding the chips.

Add the chips to the hot oil and fry them until they are crispy, stirring gently.

Once crispy, remove the chips from the oil and drain them well.

To flavor the chips, sprinkle some red chili powder, chat masala, and salt on top. You can add any flavor you like.

These chips can be stored for years and are a great snack for guests or with tea.
