Chop 2 big carrots, 3 stalks of celery, 1 medium-sized white onion, and 5 medium-sized mushrooms into large chunks.

Add about 2 cups of frozen broccoli to the chopped vegetables.

Clean the cutting board and knife, then cut 2 chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes.
