1

Take the Pangasius fillets out of the freezer a day before making the dish to let the ice disappear.

2

Cut the fish fillets into pieces and place them onto a plate.

3

Slice one onion into long pieces and add it to a hot pan with 2 tablespoons of oil.

4

Cook the onions until they caramelize.

5

Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of minced ginger to the pan with the onions and cook for 3 minutes.

6

Dice 2 tomatoes into small pieces and add them to the pan, mixing them with the onions, garlic, and ginger.

7

Add 3 teaspoons of Eritrean chilli powder to the pan and mix well with the other ingredients.

8

Add 1 teaspoon of black pepper and 1 teaspoon of vegetable seasoning to the pan and combine everything together.

9

Turn down the heat and add the cut Pangasius fish fillets to the pan, mixing them with the sauce.

10

Turn the heat back up and let the fish cook for 5 minutes without adding water.

11

After 5 minutes, add sliced green chilli to the pan and stir everything together, cooking for another 3 minutes.

12

Turn off the gas once the fish is cooked, which should take about 8 minutes in total.
