- ●2 cups buttermilk
- ●1/2 cup water
- ●1/2 tsp salt
- ●1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
- ●1/4 tsp black pepper
- ●1/4 tsp red chili powder (optional)
- ●1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
- ●1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
- ●Ice cubes (for serving)
Instructions
- 1In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk and water, mixing well until smooth.
- 2Add salt, roasted cumin powder, black pepper, and red chili powder (if using) to the buttermilk mixture.
- 3Stir in the chopped coriander leaves and green chili (if using).
- 4Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- 5Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or spices as desired.
- 6Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to enhance the flavors.
- 7Serve the sambharam in glasses over ice cubes for a refreshing drink.
- 8Garnish with additional coriander leaves if desired.
