Omani Halwa

150 grams ghee
750 ml water
1 kg sugar
rose water
saffron
cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
nuts (as desired)

Take a bowl and add 150 grams of ghee.

Add 750 ml of water to the bowl and mix well.

Set the mixture aside.

In another bowl, take 1 kg of sugar.

In a small bowl, mix rose water with saffron and set aside for coloring.

In a pot, add the sugar and melt it over medium flame, stirring gently to avoid burning.

Once the sugar is melted and has a good color, gradually add the cornstarch while stirring continuously.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder and the saffron mixture to the pot.

Cook the mixture until it thickens to your desired consistency.

Add nuts as desired and mix well.

Once thickened, pour the halwa into a serving dish and design as preferred.
