Traditionally enjoyed on Sundays or during family gatherings, this hearty soup symbolizes comfort and community. Its bold flavors come from a blend of local spices and fresh vegetables, making it a beloved dish that has seen various adaptations across the Caribbean and beyond.

Wash and cut beef Chuck neck bones into thin pieces.
Chop corn into 1.5-2 inch pieces.
Dice kabocha squash, yuca, and potatoes into cubes.
Cut carrots slanted and chop chayote.
Season beef with 2 tablespoons of green seasoning, 1 tablespoon of onion powder, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, and 1 tablespoon of adobo, rubbing it into the meat.
Boil 20 cups of water and add seasoned beef.
Cover and boil for 45 minutes.
Make dumplings by kneading 1 cup of all-purpose flour with water until thick, then pinch off pieces and roll into dumplings.
Add thyme, corn, kabocha squash, yuca, scotch bonnet peppers, carrots, chayote, potatoes, and pimento seeds to the pot.
Add cock-flavored soup mix and pumpkin-flavored soup mix to the pot.
Season with a little meat and poultry seasoning, garlic, onion, and adobo.
Cover and boil for approximately one hour.
Add dumplings to the soup after 30 minutes of boiling.
Check consistency and ensure the scotch bonnet pepper is removed before serving.
