Festive Holiday Appetizers | Simple Recipes for Parties

- ●1 pre-made pie crust
- ●4 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
- ●1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ●1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- ●2 cloves garlic, minced
- ●1/4 cup olive oil
- ●1 tsp salt
- ●1/2 tsp black pepper
- ●1 tsp dried oregano
- ●1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2Place the pre-made pie crust in a tart pan and press it into the bottom and up the sides.
- 3In a bowl, mix the sliced tomatoes with salt, pepper, and dried oregano. Let it sit for 10 minutes to release some moisture.
- 4In the tart crust, sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese evenly on the bottom.
- 5Layer the sliced tomatoes over the cheese, overlapping them slightly.
- 6Sprinkle the minced garlic and chopped basil over the tomatoes.
- 7Drizzle olive oil over the top of the tart.
- 8Add the remaining mozzarella cheese and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- 9Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
- 10Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

- ●8 oz Brie cheese, sliced
- ●4 oz Boursin cheese
- ●1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- ●1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- ●1/2 tsp black pepper
- ●1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- 3Cut the pastry into 4-inch squares and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 4Using a knife, score a smaller square inside each pastry square, about 1/2 inch from the edge, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- 5Spread a thin layer of Boursin cheese inside the scored area of each pastry square.
- 6Place a slice of Brie cheese on top of the Boursin cheese.
- 7Sprinkle fresh thyme, black pepper, and salt over the Brie.
- 8Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.
- 9Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
- 10Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

- ●8 oz Brie cheese, sliced
- ●1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- ●1/4 tsp salt
- ●1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2In a bowl, combine the sliced pears, honey, thyme, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the pears evenly.
- 3Spread the pear mixture onto a baking sheet in a single layer and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pears are tender and caramelized.
- 4While the pears are roasting, arrange the baguette slices on another baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- 5Remove the toasted baguette slices from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- 6Top each baguette slice with a slice of Brie cheese.
- 7Once the pears are done roasting, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
- 8Spoon the roasted pears over the Brie-topped baguette slices.
- 9Sprinkle the chopped walnuts on top of the pears and Brie.
- 10Serve immediately as an appetizer or snack.

- ●2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- 1Toast the whole grain bread slices until golden brown.
- 2In a bowl, mash the ripe avocados with a fork until smooth.
- 3Add salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to the mashed avocado and mix well.
- 4Spread a generous amount of the avocado mixture on each slice of toasted bread.
- 5Top each slice with halved cherry tomatoes.
- 6Sprinkle red pepper flakes on top if desired for a bit of heat.
- 7Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro for added flavor.
- 8Serve immediately as a snack or appetizer.
