1 Cup Sesame Seeds
3/4 Cup grated Jaggery
1 Tbsp Ghee

Dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan over low heat until they are golden brown. Set aside to cool.

In a separate pan, combine the grated jaggery and water. Heat over medium flame until the jaggery dissolves completely.

Continue to cook the jaggery syrup until it reaches a hard ball stage (approximately 260°F or 127°C). You can test this by dropping a small amount into cold water; it should form a hard ball.

Once the syrup is ready, add the roasted sesame seeds and cardamom powder to the pan. Mix well to coat the seeds evenly with the syrup.

Grease a flat surface or a baking tray with ghee to prevent sticking.

Pour the mixture onto the greased surface and spread it out evenly with a spatula or rolling pin.

Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then cut it into squares or desired shapes while it is still warm.

Let the chikki cool completely before serving or storing.
