1

In a large bowl, add all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, oil, and water. Mix these properly using your hands.

2

Add little amounts of water at a time and knead the dough until it turns very soft and smooth.

3

Cover the dough and keep it aside in a warm place for 2 hours to allow it to ferment.

4

Make 5 equal-sized balls of the dough.

5

Take one ball of dough, apply dry flour, and roll it into a round circle (7 to 8 inches in diameter).

6

Heat a cast iron skillet on medium-high heat.

7

Brush some butter or ghee over the naan.

8

Flip over and place it on the hot skillet. Do not use a nonstick skillet.

9

Slightly press the naan to help it stick to the skillet.

10

After a minute, flip the skillet upside down to cook the naan directly on the flame until golden brown.

11

Brush some butter on top and remove from the skillet. Cover it with a kitchen towel.

12

Brush some water on one side of the naan.

13

Put some chopped garlic and coriander leaves over the naan and gently press and roll it.

14

Put it back on the hot skillet and cook both sides until golden.

15

Take out the butter naan on a plate and apply butter on it.
