Kootu Curry

1 cup Raw Banana
1 cup Cubed Yam
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
Salt
1/2 cup water
7-8 tbsp of Grated Coconut
1 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
2-3 tbsp of water
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
Oil for frying
2 tsp Urad Dal
4 Dry Red Chilies
Few Curry Leaves
10-15 tbsp Grated Coconut
1 cup Boiled & Cooked Black Chickpea (boiled with salt)
3-4 tbsp of Jaggery Syrup
1 tbsp of Black Pepper

Prepare the raw banana and yam by cutting them into appropriate sizes.

In a pot, add the raw banana, cubed yam, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, and water. Cook until the vegetables are tender.

In a blender, combine grated coconut, cumin seeds, and water to make a paste.

In a frying pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, dry red chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until fragrant.

Add the grated coconut to the frying pan and mix well.

Combine the cooked vegetables with the coconut mixture and add boiled black chickpeas, jaggery syrup, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
