2 liters full cream milk
1 cup sugar
1 cup basmati rice
½ cup crushed almonds
1 cup cashews (½ cup crushed + ½ cup for garnishing)
½ cup raisins
2 tablespoons ghee
½ teaspoon cardamom powder

Boil the milk in a pot.

Add the basmati rice to the boiling milk and cook until the rice is soft.

Stir in the sugar and mix well until dissolved.

Add the crushed almonds and cardamom powder, and mix thoroughly.

In a separate pan, heat ghee and roast the cashews until golden brown.

Add the roasted cashews and raisins to the kheer for garnishing.
