Originating from Chinese cuisine, stir fry is a quick cooking method that emphasizes fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors. Traditionally, it was a way to prepare meals quickly over high heat, making it ideal for busy households. Today, stir fry has become a global favorite, with countless variations incorporating local ingredients and flavors.

BBBBmain
4 servings
Servings4
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon honey
1 cup red bell pepper
1 cup yellow bell pepper
1 cup shredded carrots
2 cups broccoli
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon ginger
2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Quantities are estimated based on standard recipes for your convenience. The actual ingredients used in this video are accurate.

1

Make fry sauce by whisking together soy sauce, cornstarch, chicken broth, and honey. Set aside.

2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

3

Add diced boneless skinless chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes until cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.

4

Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and place it on a plate.

5

Slice half of a red bell pepper and half of a yellow bell pepper into bite-sized pieces.

6

Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet and heat it up.

7

Add sliced bell peppers, shredded carrots (about 1/2 cup), and chopped broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir to combine.

8

Sauté the vegetables for about 5 minutes until they reach desired tenderness, keeping them a bit firmer than preferred as they will cook more later.

9

Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

10

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine with the vegetables.

11

Whisk the fry sauce again and add it to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.

12

Serve the stir fry as is or over rice, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
