Methi Gota

Cultural Context

Methi Gota, a popular snack from Gujarat, India, showcases the vibrant flavors of fenugreek leaves. Traditionally enjoyed during monsoon season, these fritters are a delightful treat at tea time or festive occasions. The use of gram flour gives them a crispy texture, while the fenugreek adds a unique, slightly bitter flavor that balances beautifully with spicy chutneys. Today, Methi Gota is loved across India and often made at home for gatherings and celebrations.
