Sorrel Juice

Cultural Context

Originating from the Caribbean, particularly Trinidad and Tobago, sorrel juice is a traditional beverage enjoyed during the Christmas season. Made from the calyx of the sorrel plant, this vibrant drink is often spiced with ginger and cloves, making it a festive favorite.
