3 bay leaves
3 allspice corns
2 or 3 cups beef stock
dry kidney beans

Finely chop 1 large yellow onion.

Chop 2 or 3 stalks of celery into small pieces.

Cut 1.5 pounds of pork shoulder into small cubes.
