Soak 500 grams of dried meat in the refrigerator overnight, changing the water three times to desalinate it.

Once the bacon and sausage are browned, add the shredded meat to the skillet and mix.

Add 20 grams of grated garlic (4 cloves), 220 grams of onion (diced), 80 grams of leeks, and 180 grams of bell pepper (diced) to the skillet and sauté until the vegetables soften.

Add 10 grams of Sazón seasoning and 10 grams of paprika to the mixture.

Add the reserved black-eyed peas and mix well.
