2 tbsp rava / semolina
2 cup maida / plain flour
½ tsp salt
¼ cup ghee
water (for kneading)

Firstly, in a mixer jar take ½ cup sugar and 2 tbsp rava. Grind to a fine powder.

In a large bowl, take 2 cup maida, ½ tsp salt and powdered sugar. Mix well.

Heat ¼ cup ghee and heat it well.

Pour the ghee over the flour and mix well.

Crumble and mix making sure the flour is moist.

Now add water slowly and start to knead the dough.

Just bring the flour together, do not over-knead.

Cover and rest the dough for 30 minutes.

Further, roll it slightly thick like paratha.

Cut in a square shape, size of your choice.

Deep fry in medium hot oil, or bake at 180 degree celsius for 15-20 minutes.

Stir occasionally keeping the flame on medium.

Fry till the sweet shankarpalli / shankarpara turns golden and crisp.

Finally, drain over the kitchen towel and serve / store Sweet Shankarpalli / Shankarpara in an airtight container once cooled completely.
