500g minced meat (lamb or beef)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, grated
2 green chilies, slit
1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
Salt to taste
Fresh cilantro for garnish

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are golden brown.

Stir in the minced garlic, ginger, and green chilies; cook for another 2 minutes.

Add the minced meat to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.

Stir in the diced tomatoes and tomato paste; mix well.

Add the coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt; stir to combine.

Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

If the mixture is too dry, add a little water to reach your desired consistency.

Once cooked, garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
