Add 2 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp of brown sugar, 1 tbsp of yeast, and 1 heaping teaspoon of salt to a mixing bowl; mix well.

Add 1/3 cup of ghee or melted butter and 2 and 1/2 cups of lukewarm water to the bowl.

Mix the ingredients using a hook, paddle attachment, or pastry beater.

Gradually add the remaining 2 cups of all-purpose flour to the mixture.

Form the dough into a ball and coat it with a few drops of oil in the bowl.

Cover the bowl with plastic or a kitchen towel and place it in a warm spot to rise for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Once risen, place the dough on a counter covered with parchment paper without flattening it.

Cut the dough into pieces and roll each piece into a long rope, about 22 inches long.

Shape each rope into a U, twist the ends, and press them down to form a pretzel shape.
