In a pot over medium heat, add 3 cups Tap Water. Bring to boil.

Add sago pearls, bring to boil again.

Stir gently and cook for about 5 minutes or until semi-translucent. Remove from heat.

Set aside and let cool for 15 minutes.

Strain the sago pearls. Sago is semi translucent, white spot in the center.

Put back sago pearls, add 3 cups Tap Water.

Boil for second time.

Stir and check once in a while that you still have enough water.

Reduce heat and cook for another 20 minutes.

Turn off the heat. Add 2 cups Tap Water.

Rinse sago a few times to remove excess starch.

Drain. It is already cook. So chewy and translucent.
