5 tbsp sugar
½ tsp cardamom powder
pinch of saffron
ukewarm water as needed (approximately 1/3 cup)
oil for deep frying
5 cup date syrup or more for dressing
2 tbsp sesame seeds for sprinkling

In a mixing bowl, combine the all purpose flour, instant yeast, milk powder, sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron.

Gradually add the lukewarm water to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth batter forms.
