In a bowl, combine 1 cup flour, 1 tablespoon corn flour, 1 teaspoon instant yeast, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.

Gradually add 1 cup warm water to the dry ingredients to form a batter with a consistency similar to pancake batter.

Cover the batter and let it rest for 1 to 3 hours to ferment.

For the syrup, combine 2 cups sugar and 1 cup water in a pot and stir until the sugar dissolves.

Add 1/2 lemon to the syrup to prevent crystallization and cook until it reaches a thread consistency.

Once the batter has fermented and doubled in size, mix it well.

Transfer the batter into a plastic bag for easier shaping of dumplings.
