How to Make Jamaican Sorrel Drink

Boil 6 cups of water in a large pot.

Add 2 cups of dried sorrel to the boiling water.

Add chopped fresh ginger to the pot.

Add 1 cinnamon stick and 10 whole allspice berries to the pot.

Boil the mixture for about 10 minutes.

Turn off the stove and let the mixture steep for a few hours or overnight.

Strain the mixture to remove the sorrel and spices.

Add sugar to the strained liquid to sweeten it.

Serve the drink over ice.

Optionally, add a splash of Jamaican rum to individual servings.
