1 medium onion
2 scallions
1 tablespoon ginger
1 jalapeno pepper
3 cloves garlic
1/4 cup parsley
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 cup cornmeal
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup coconut oil
for serving chutney

Place the beans, onion, scallion, ginger, jalapeno pepper, garlic, parsley, dried thyme, and cornmeal in the bowl of a food processor.

Process until smooth, adding just enough water (2 tablespoons to a fourth cup) to form a thick paste.
