In a saucepan over medium heat, add 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of whole milk.

3

Whisk occasionally until it just starts to simmer with bubbles along the edges, then remove from heat.

4

In a bowl, add the egg yolks, 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 teaspoons of arrowroot powder, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whisk together.

Slowly pour half of the hot cream mixture into the bowl while whisking to temper the eggs.
