milk - 500 ml
eggs - 2
granulated sugar - 100 g
vanilla sugar - 5 g
cornstarch - 1 full tbsp
salt - a pinch
butter - 50 g

Whisk eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt until smooth

Add cornstarch and mix well

While whisking very slowly pour part of hot milk to the mixture and stir well

Return the mixture to the saucepan with the rest of the hot milk

Over medium heat bring to a boil stirring constantly

Stirring constantly cook over low heat for 1-2 minutes until thickened

Remove from the heat and whisk in butter until it melted

Cover with plastic wrap and let it cool down

If you’re not going to use it immediately, store it in the fridge for up to 5 days.
