This rich dish, made with vermicelli cooked in milk and sweetened with sugar, symbolizes prosperity and joy. Often garnished with nuts and dried fruits, it reflects the region's love for sweet, creamy desserts. Today, variations of Sheerkurma can be found in many South Asian households, enjoyed on special occasions and gatherings.

Remove the pit from 7-8 dried dates and chop them.
Chop some almonds and cashews, and chop pistachios for garnish.
Soak chironji in warm water and remove the skin.
In a pan, heat 2-3 tablespoons of ghee and fry the chopped dry fruits on low flame until lightly roasted.
In a separate pan, mix 2 liters of milk with milk powder dissolved in half a glass of water and bring to a simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
Add the fried dry fruits to the milk mixture.
Stir in 1/2 cup of sugar and continue to cook on low flame for 5-6 minutes until well combined and thickened.
Add 1 small cardamom (ground) and cook for an additional 2 minutes before removing from heat.
