1 cup yogurt
1 cup cooked rice
Salt to taste
1 sp oil
1 sp ghee
1 sp cumin seeds
1 sp mustard seeds
pinch of hing
1 sp gram dal
1 sp urad dal
7 to 8 curry leaves
2 to 3 green / red chillies
1 onion sliced
half a carrot shredded
cashew nuts (optional)

Mix yogurt and cooked rice together, ensuring the rice is at room temperature.

Add salt to the mixture.

In a pan, heat ghee and oil, then add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, hing, gram dal, urad dal, curry leaves, and sliced onion.

Saute until the onions caramelize, then remove from heat.

Let the tempering mix cool slightly before adding it to the rice and yogurt mixture.

Garnish with coriander/cilantro and pomegranate seeds before serving.
